When you arrive at our Scottsdale office for Pixel treatments, we will begin by applying a topical numbing cream to your skin. From there, we will provide you with protective eyewear before treating the target area with the Pixel laser. While the pulse of the laser is administered, you may feel a slightly warm sensation that’s not unlike the feeling of a sunburn. This entire process takes about 30 minutes, at which point we will apply a soothing recovery lotion.
For the first week after your treatment, it’s normal to notice redness and peeling. During this time, it’s important to hydrate your skin to aid in the healing process. In general, we recommend three to six treatments every four to six weeks for optimal results, along with one maintenance visit a year.
